still experimenting.. this time with thunder.. i had to find out a way to shot thunder.. well guess i found out.. mostly it as goto to do with counting... and wishing that he will be there.. i toke almost 15 shots.. 5 got thunder the rest got the night...

Great shot. :thumbsup: Lightning shots are fun. I always set my camera to aperture priority and set aperture on f/16 or f/22. That would be tricky with this shot since the street lights are present and would be blown out with such a long exposure. A graduated neutral density filter would probably work great if you inverted it. Keep them coming. :XD:

I've tried to get a lightning a few weeks ago and I know,
that you must have luck and a very quick finger.... :D

going for the quick finger is the wrong way to go for it, the best way is expand to the max exposere time of your camera in mine it was 2 sec. the select the continous shoting mode. set up a tripod go into the storm.. when you are seteld up. This is where the luck enters you point the camera to a place where you think lightning will strike... after that you start shooting until you get lucky or hope the lightning will stike....

yes lightning my english pplayed a trick on me.. lol..

Well First ypu need a electric storm, them a tripod. some luck and lots patiente..´

I mounted my tripod them i expanded the exposere time to the maximum (2sec) on my camera them i placed in continuos shooting mode this way i would have a series of 4 shots 2 sec each 8 sec shoots.. after that i placed the tripod on my balcony and choose the spot to shot after that was making a serie of fotos until i got it right,, ;)

you dont need a tripod if you can stabelize your camera its the same.. i often use my cell phone my keys rocks to stabelize the camera..... ;)
